Athens - Clarke County, GA Weekly Real Estate Market Report & Stats, 6/21/2009

In Athens -Clarke County, GA, for the week ending June 21, 2009 the real estate market looks like this:

There are 1816 active listings of which 1532 are residential, 21 are farm and land. This is, again, an increase of 9 listings over the previous week.

There are 203 listings under contract. This number is up 14 from last week.

There have been 8 closed sales duiring the period of June 7 - June 14, 2009, all of which were residential.

While they still have a ways to go, it looks like sales are up. :)

Hi Mike, its good to see you have action taking place in your area. Is this up from last year or down? Either way, we hope to see you have another increase this week! BTW since we saw that you think wild turkeys are elegant, we have to tell you we have a family of them that visit us and we agree with you. They are quite comical and smart.

mark - I do believe we have hit a bottom

Al & Peggy - sales have never been zero, it is down from last year but appears to be bottoming.
