THE 2007 PORTLAND ROSE FESTIVAL BEGINS TODAY!

If you live in the greater Portland Metro area make sure you get to a Rose Festival Event or ten.

The weather will be beautiful and there are so many great community events to take in.

ONE OF MY FAVORITES FOR THIS CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION YEAR IS...

VAUDEVILLE ROSE SUNDAY JUNE 10, 10AM-8PM   ADULTS $8  CHILD $5

Prepare to laugh, cry and be amazed with this salute to the early 1900's in this one of a kind theatrical production entitled "Vaudeville Rose", produced and directed by local physical comedian, actor and director Angel Ocasio.  Angel will include all types of variety acts from sword swallower's, jugglers, magicians, dancers, comedy acts, musical acts, and tribute to famous vaudevillians like Groucho Marx, Fannie Brice and Abbot and Costello.

Plus Angel is my neighbor and an amazing guy!

You should see him after he comes home from a show. Sometimes if he is still in costume, the neighbor kids rush him like a wild herd of animals.  They want to see some fancy tricks.  I know he must be worn out after a long night at the theatre, but he never fails to give a brief show to the kids.  He doesn't short change them either.  He gives them his all right there on the driveway.  Funny voices, jokes, juggling and magic tricks.  I love this guy!

HOW ABOUT SOMETHING FUN AND FREE?

WAMU Fireworks Spectacular at Tom McCall Waterfront Park Friday June 1,  9:45 PM

Portland-Kaoshing Sister City Association Dragon Boat Races Saturday June 9 and Sunday June 10 at the south end of Tom McCall Waterfront Park. All Day!
