In this home staging in Mississuaga I would like to show the importance of showing how much space you are selling. When every single one of your belongings is out on view it is very hard for a buyer to see what you are offering for sale.

In a condo situation you typically have bathrooms on the smaller side. If you take the time to declutter you allow the two most important features to stand out. Useable space and square footage. When you have competition just down the hall or on the next floor it is necessary to do everything possible to make your unit to appear larger.

All I did was suggest that the client buy some baskets to place their belongings in under the cabinet. That way they could access them easily each morning and when done with the morning routine, they are neatly stowed away and out of sight.

Investment, minimal.

Impact, priceless.

It was so simple, but made of world of difference!

Have a great week Michelle.

The decluttering made a difference in addition to the light that's in the after picture.  The before was very dark, but the after appeared bright and cheery!

Hi Ann, you are so right - simple and effective. The kind of staging that is cost effective.

Hi Chanda, I always suggest for staging that clients install bright white light bulbs to give more light in a space. It is worth the few dollars to make such a difference in appearance.

Hi Niki, I love writing them! I get just as much satisfaction out of the before and afters as the client does. I love what I do and when it can be accomplished with elbow grease a few dollars I have happy clients singing the praises of professional home staging.

Another winner, Mihelle!  Amazing what no clutter does for a space.  You can actually "see" the bathroom now and love the lightbulb idea!

Hi Leesa, it's the simple ideas that seem to have the most impact. Lightbulbs are the most inexpensive improvement to gain the most amount of light in a small space like a bathroom.

Michelle,

The blue bottle and whatever is in the shower makes a huge difference. Great photo on finished product.

Hi Monique, I take a picture of the room on the first visit to show them what others will see when they view their listings on line. That seems to be the wake up call that they need. When they see that picture it allows them to see how much of their personal stuff is out on view. They see it everyday and it just becomes background noise to them.

If the property is immaculate and no clutter around but they have too much furniture or misplaced accessories it allows the client to see how it distracts the buyer from seeing the room.

when 92% of buyers look on line now for their new home you can't take the chance that staging doesn't make a difference. I merchandice the room so that when the listing photos are taken, the features of the room are on view to buyers.

Thanks for stopping in to see my photos.
