It's hot and who really wants to go look at property. So as a seller you need to make your home exciting after a day of looking at a bunch of dull homes. Some great ways to make your home stand out is the outdoors.
Flowers are in bloom. Make your yard have a park like feel with ground flowers, pots spread around and planter boxes. Color coordinate the flowers and shrubs for the best effect. Keep them watered so they don't look dead and uninviting.
If your really brave you might want to add a pond. The running water will make the yard seem cooler and relaxing. Not to mention all the great water plants that you can add. They have do it yourself kits at the home stores, but be ready for some work on this project.
Make your patio and deck seem like an extension of the house by decorating those areas like you would a room. If your have plastic, wicker or metal furniture paint them in fun and vibrant colors. Add water proof pillows and cushions and maybe even an outdoor rug. If you have a wood deck bring it back to life with one of the great stains on the market. Same thing for a concrete patio.
Making the outside look as good as the inside is just as important to get your home sold.
