MHDC now offers 2 down payment assistance programs for Kansas City area home buyers

One of the hardest things about purchasing a home is coming up with a down payment. 3.5% doesn't sound like much but it can be a big hurdle to save with all of the costs life puts upon us. Now there is good news for anyone wishing to buy a home in the Kansas City area. The Missouri Housing Developement Commission (MHDC) has 2 program to help first time home buyers.

The first program is a down payment assistance whickh loans you your down payment against your $8,000 first time home buyers tax rebate.

The second program is for foreclosed properties and allows you to borrow additional money to fix up the foreclosed properties. For more information about both programs use the links below.
