www.realestatenugget.com Changing the Industry One Post at a time! Paradigm Shift Underway......!!!!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with RealEstateNugget.com

Hello Friends-

Today I had an interesting email communication with another fellow on-line real estate entrepreneur and much to my surprise, he was concerned that www.realestatenugget.com would have an adverse impact on brokers...  I was sort of shocked to consider how a FREE listing website would hurt brokers.

I think that what it comes down to is that there is really two schools of thought, the old school, and the new school.  The fact is that our market of customers are navigating the internet like never before.  The days of old, when the local MLS was in a rolodex or phone book, have gone away.  No longer is it the role of the broker to control access to the information, because the information is out there on-line and accessible by the masses.  My opinion is that with the internet and broadband available to more people than ever before, brokers need to adapt to the changing technological landscape.  Our service as brokers is still very valuable, maybe now more than ever, because we bring expertise and experience to a transaction.  It's no longer simply controlling the listing information, it's understanding the local trends, understanding how to make successful offers, knowing where and how to find deals, and not being afraid of using the available on-line resources to enhance our efforts.

Bottom line, our clients deserve and demand the maximum exposure for their properties, and on the flip side, when we as brokers are searching for available properties, our clients are expecting that we're exhausting the entire local market....this means FSBO's, pocket listings, etc. not just the listed properties that our company has control over.  The easy access to the information has changed the industry in my opinion for the better.  There's no sense denying this or fighting this....it's a natural evolution of the industry.  Do you agree or disagree?

Why would FREE advertising and the potential of getting your properties in front of an interested party be in any way negative?

I'm very curious to hear your thoughts and opinions about this paradigm shift that I perceive, as well as your take on the service that we're offering.  I'm eager to gain insight.

In our effort to build this website, we're open to hearing your thoughts and opinions and any advice you offer will be much appreciated.

Also, keep in mind that for those who are interested in helping us gain traction by referring us to other brokers, telling your company about our FREE service, etc. we want to create a partnership with you and offer you advertising in your specific market.  If you do business in Atlanta, GA, we can create a click through ad for you to dominate the Atlanta homepage...  Wherever you're located, we want to give you incentive to become a strategic partner with us.

Thanks for your support and thanks for POSTING your properties on www.realestatenugget.com!
