BlackBerry logoLike many folks in the real estate world, I've been using a BlackBerry for years. It (or any of the other smartphones) can be one of the most useful realtor tools in your arsenal.

One of the joys of owning a smartphone is the fact that it does so many things.

One of the frustrations of owning a smartphone is that it does so many things...who has time to read the owner's manual anyway?...besides, you ever wonder why they write them to be so useless for the public?

One thing I like that RIM has done is put together a nifty newsletter that is full of tips & tricks that really are helpful.  See something that might be useful?  Click on the link & it takes you to a simple, understandable "How-to" on it.  Below is a link to show how to manage your images on the SD memory card (photo & movie storage, etc).  If you haven't figured out how or where your memory card should go, there's a tutorial for all of the current models too.

Tips & Tricks for BlackBerry

There's also an "Owner's Lounge" forum full of FAQs & workarounds from BB fantatics & people just like the rest of us - power users who don't have time to be frustrated by their phone.  Sign up for their newsletter there too - it can't hurt, and its free!

De nada, Candice - if you can't find your answer quickly, check the Owner's Lounge - there's a search function you can use!

Thanks Kent; I just obtained a Pearl Blackberry.  It is awsome but I've used it thus far for little more than phone calls and email. Obviously I need to expand my horizons!

I also love my crack-berry but there is so much more to learn.

Kent, Thanks for the info.  I've been trying to figure out how to get my pictures from my device memory to the card.  I'll follow your link and get my problems solved, I'm sure.

Kent - Thanks for the info.  I have spent very little time on RIM's website and don't fully utilize the BB but should start doing so.

GOOD MORNING KENT!  I'll work on this today with my Blackberry -- about the only thing I've mastered is answering it when it rings! -- Gabrielle

Kent - Great info.  I wrote a post about blackberry shortcuts some time ago, but I like this newsletter thing.

Well, I'm going to have to do some research. I have never been able to sync on my new laptop that has Vista. I'm almost certain there is something wrong with my USB device driver, but not sure which one to download. Send any hints my way!

Vanna - not having used one, my opinion is that it is a very successful device that has changed the cellular world...otherwise there wouldn't be so many imitators!

Linda - our horizons keep expanding as the possibilities grow!

Roy - you're welcome.

Marc - I don't spend a lot of time there either, but go once in a while just to check out what's happening in the BB world.

Gabrielle - girl, you've got to at least get the email going! LOL

Michael - I hope you find the newsletter useful once in a while.

Dale - I see your point!  A smartphone isn't applicable for everyone's circumstances

Troy - I'll have to check out your post.  Thanks for dropping by!

Lori - here's a link to common sync issues with Vista in the support forum:  Vista Sync  Hope it is helpful to you!

Everyone - if you're having issues or want to check something out, visit the user forum section @ Blackberry.com

Did you know you can rotate a picture just by pressing the comma on the Pearl?  You can also go to the top of the screen by pressing 1.  Just a couple cool things I have learned from they little brochure RIM gave me a long time ago.  Not sure it is on the website, but kind of neat.
