Here's this weeks average mortgage interest rates based on a survey of large lenders:

Hawaii Mortgage Interest Rates:  (30 yr fixed) 6.47 percent, Average points: 0.26
Mortgage rates RISE AGAIN as investors paid more attention to the stock market than the negative news about house prices and sales of homes. The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage rose to 6.47 percent from 6.42 percent last week.  The average 15-year fixed rose from 6.15% last week to 6.21%.  The average jumbo 30-year fixed rose to 6.68 percent. Adjustable-rate mortgages:  5/1 ARM rose from last week to 6.37 percent, the one-year ARM is about the same at 6.09 percent.  Rate's can be lowered by paying additional points.

Home Equity Rates:  HELOC:  8.17 percent, Home Equity Loan:  7.96 percent
About the same as last week.
