With this newfound way of doing things, naturally we evolve and adapt into a new found Etiquette. And Yet.....
Alex Williams recently posted an article titled:
Mind Your Blackberry or Mind Your Manners.
In the article he spoke of the new Etiquette of cell phone usage.
Texting, emails, Twittering etc are all accepted ways to communicate these days, but do you do so in a board meeting? How about a Lecture? In School? Most would answer with a resounding NO!
But last night I had the opportunity to meet with some pretty tech saavy people. They meet once a month in Fullerton and last nights topic was "Twittering for Business". At the very beginning of the meeting, we are all encouraged to "Tweet or Facebook", just please make sure your ringers are off.
WHAT! Do they NOT know the "RULES"?
Obviously, they do because this is WHAT THEY DO! Daily! Some even teach classes and lead seminars on how to use Social Netoworking effectively!
Nice post Amanda ... sometimes I wish I could just "unplug" without coming home to hundreds of emails, tweets, messages, linked-in requests, facebook posts, faxes!
