Brain Do You Ever Feel You Need A Bigger Brain?

The brain for all of us in our real estate work, play, and simply keep us alive lives is truly amazing. But with the pace of information flowing at us, more people we meet, more knowledge around us, more social networks, more technology, I have concluded the problem is that word

              More.

How much more can our brains absorb? Is there a limit to how much more "stuff" we can put in there? Don't we need a larger memory card or a faster processor update at some point. Or maybe stuff just starts falling out.

You know that they say that multi-tasking can lower the I.Q.  I believe that when I say that I need a bigger brain.

Gary - I truly don't want a bigger brain at this point.  I think it would give me more stuff to worry about.  :)

Gary, At first I thought it was old age and I know that has some to do with it but we are just bombarded with so much information.  We use to have one personal telelphone to remember and now we can have as many as 5.  I have started trying to do something as soon as I think of it or the thought is gone and I regret it later.

I think if we get rid of the negative stuff that is taking space in our brain then there would be more room to put good info in. (gotta clean the junk out over and over and over lol)

I agree with Sally....get rid of some of the negative and have more room for good!

If I had a bigger brain I'd have to get a divorce and leave this biz (wickedly giggling)

Gary..It is a known fact we do not use as much of our brain as we are capable of..we need to learn how to open the other channels..

Of course, Sally's about purging the negative--EXACTLY what I was going to say!  We've got PLENTY of room--we just need to utilize it better.  I think mine purges movies and TV within 24-hours--unless I talk about it--then it might stay; I joke that it's self-cleaning!

That's what I'm hoping, just too many things on my mind.  It makes me feel better to know my little nephew is so forgetful!

Gary - Wonderful post and I have a hard time finding a hat that fits my head. And as for wanting a bigger brain, I don't think so, ask anyone around here if Vegas Bob needs a bigger brain!

Love the cartoon- she's fast becoming one of my fav's...our brains can store endless amounts of info............its the retrieval system we seem to be having a problem with!

I think I've got room for more stuff. But I've got a reel to reel data access system in a random access world.

I've waiting for an opportunity to use that line.

Gary, sometimes I feel like I do. I think it is age, if I don't write it down it is easy to forget. I know we don't use all of our brains so we can continue to grow it but it is not without frustration.

My brain is like a plastic tube filled with steel ball bearings and it's FULL, if I add something new, it pushes something out at the other end! Hopefully, it's not something I really need! Have a great day my friend!

Gary, we don't use enough of our brain as it is. A bigger brain would just make us have larger heads. Too big of a brain and you cant organize your thoughts.

I live to multi-task! I always wish my brain was bigger, because it is full of so much real estate and random information. They say the average human only uses 10% of their brain.

Hey Gary, I feel this way sometimes and it gets hard to remember everything especially when I'm multi-tasking...I try to help it out as much as possible by writing down my to-do list, otherwise I'm likely to forget something. And keeping organized allows me to remember more I think.

Have a great day,

Anne Rains

I think lately my head has reached it's limit and things have started falling out. I was hoping to get by with this brain for at least a few more years.

I love the idea of cleaning out the cobwebs from our brain by getting the "junk" out of there and that we are only using 10% of our brains. Guess we don't need bigger ones then.

Gary - Betina took the words right out of my mouth.  Since we only use 10% of our brains anyway, we have lots of room for improvement before we need to make our brains/and heads any bigger.  We just need to use more of what we already have.

Gary,

I like to think my "memory bank" gets over loaded and some days I wonder how I remembered that piece if information or something about a client! We all feel like we would like to cram more in and some days the door just needs to shut! No more until whats in there gets settled!!

Gary,

I've looked into that but no one sells that stuff. What I'm trying to do with this info overload is prioritize as much as possible. It's helping.

Gary,

I agree with the cartoon, if it wasn't for all of the stupid stuff getting in the way of the important stuff I would have a better recall.  Now if I can only remember where the submit button is..........

Gary - I sometimes think I'll develop a short circuit. A bigger brain might be helpful but I'd rather scale back on all the many tasks which overwhelm me.

I feel that way often.  I think it's my brain that needs decluttering more so than my house.
