I think its all about how you handle your social media marketing.
I've recently started using Facebook to promote my team and our website: I have a Team Page that pulls my active rain blogs onto it and where i can post open house events and what not. I also have started using their advertising system and have an ad campaign that only uses $2 a day and focuses on my different target markets...our team niche markets to US Vetrans, College Students and the LGBT community. Since I've started, I've seen a small increase in my website veiwers - which has lead to more registrations and help requests. I'm just starting so I don't have figures to spew out yet - but I'm seeing the difference its making already...
