3 Comments on The history of Austin's skyscrapers yesterday and today.
I love the Frost Tower. I'm a big fan of unusual skyscrapers. Vancouver is my favorite city for unusual skyscrapers, and I think many of the Vancouver architects have been working down here in San Diego for the past twenty years because we've finally got some unusual skyscrapers in our city.
Dear Jim,
The Frost Tower is my favorite, right next to the Capital and UT Tower. I hate that the Frost Tower is being covered up and hidden by the other new buildings. I am glad you had some wonderful architects in San Diego. I have to come visit and check them out!

Update!! I just received an email from the Austonian with the following update. It looks like the Austonian will soon take the title of tallest building downtown!
"After 640 days of construction, tonight The Austonian will become the tallest structure in Austin at 571 feet. The next milestone comes in December when The Austonian's glass crown is installed. The 56-story building will reach 683 feet at that point making it the tallest residential building in the western United States."
