Dogs may not be permitted on the Ocean City beach or boardwalk from May 1st to October 1st but,  are always welcomed at Northside Park which is Ocean City's largest park.  Northside Park is located bayside on 127th street and offers lots of fun activites for you and Fido with great walking or jogging paths, plenty of grass for a game of catch, and bay access for the dogs who enjoy a dip in the bay.  Be sure to take advantage of the Ocean City Dog Playground located bayside on 94th street.  Passes for the OC Dog Park must be purchased in advance at 125th street at the Ocean City Parks & Rec Office.

Please make sure that you pet is wearing a collar with ID tags at all times but if you and your pet become separated please call Ocean City Animal Control ASAP with a description of you pet at (410) 723-6600 and be sure to also contact the Ocean City Humane Society at (410) 213-0146. 

Town laws of Ocean City Maryland ask that you keep your pets leashed at all times and to never let your dog in a car when the temperature is above 68 degrees.  It only takes minutes for a car to reach temperatures of 120 degrees even with the windows open and pets could possibly suffer from brain damage, heatstroke, and suffocation.  If your pet is showing symptoms of any of the following: heavy panting, glazed eyes, rapid pulse, unsteadiness, staggering gait, vomiting, deep red or purple tongue you must take action immediately.  Please move the pet to a cool location, pour cool water (not cold) over you pets body, apply ice packs to head and neck only, allow the dog to lick ice cubes and call veterinarian ASAP.  Ocean City Animal Hospital is the nearest Animal Hospital located off RT 50 (410) 213-1170.  The closest emergency center is located off Rt 50 in Salisbury Maryland (410) 543-8400‎.  

If you see a pet left unattended in a car Please call Ocean City Animal Control at (410) 723-6600 ASAP.
