One local SLC agent has had so much incoming business lately that he has to turn some of it away. During this month of June he has sold over $1.7 million in total closings! He currently has 4 homes under contract and 6 more promising offers submitted for buyers he is working with. He is busy and loving his success. 

What is the secret to his success?  While there are many steps to success Joe Martin's current success is largely attributed to encouragement and synergy.  

A flock of geese can fly over 70% further than if one were to fly alone. The reasons why they can achieve this are the same: encouragement and synergy. These principles have helped Joe achieve greater success than he could flying solo. First, the geese encourage each other by honking as they fly. The geese encourage each other to keep going, knowing that their progress depends greatly upon each other. They don't stop and complain about the headwind or how cold it is, they simply keep honking and encouraging each other to move forward. Joe's working environment encourages this same sense of encouragement to keep going... minus the honking. Not only does Joe encourage other agents but they do the same for him. 

The 2nd principle is synergy. While flying, the geese rotate positions in their V formation. They never have one goose be the head goose the entire trip. They rotate the work load. The Utah Dave team, which Joe is a part of, rotates the work load. Other agents rotate who is doing trainings, answering phone calls, or other important tasks. It is a team effort. More than just encouraging one another, the individuals alternate tasks to enhance the synergy of the team.
