Google is shaking things up today.

Did anyone notice that there is a PR (PageRank) update going on today?  Of course, we all know it's simply a "FoolBar" (Google ToolBar) update.  The actual PageRank didn't change today, just the public tool for veiwing it did.

Note that the ActiveRain.com home page went from a PR 2/10 to a 5/10.  Congratulations everyone!

My main website PhoenixHomes.com went from a PR 6/10 to a PR 5/10 though, boo FoolBar.  LOL  It really makes no matter though.  It's our position in the SERP's that really counts because that's what drives the search engine traffic to our sites and we all know that traffic equals leads which equals more opportunities to meet new potential clients.

Did anyone else notice the ToolBar update today?

LOL.  I noticed that some of the pages had updated the PR. I haven't checked mine yet, I'm curious to see how my new pages fared. -Charles

Thanks Stephen, but I'm afraid you are veiwing my site through an old DC.  Definately a 5/10 now.  But, no biggie as long as we still rock the SERP's!!!!!!!!

Charles, let us know how your new pages did.  KenSmith's blog - WebNewsForUs.com - went to a PR 5/10 from 0 and his main website went to a 6/10 from 5/10.

Actually I was only a PR4 for my main website, but the PR6 is correct. The blog was a PR3 not a 0, either way that isn't all that important.

In case anyone ahsn't seen it you should read this post by Matt Cutts. It lets you know that this "update" is old data and that it will have no effect on your rankings.

Toby I think you can read just fine, you are just still in shock from the Bears kicking the Seahawks butts. 

Matt there is no question that Matt Cutts knows how to get links, but it helps that he works for Google. Not sure I would bother reading it otherwise.
