I have always been a huge fan of RealBird to create listing flyers for my listings but it wasn't until I attended Katerina Gasset's RealBird Webinar with Gabe Gross of RealBird this past Wedneday that I realized how powerful the marriage between Active Rain and RealBird is in getting top placement for my listings in Google.

If you haven't taken advantage of the tools that RealBird has with its listing flyers and single property sites, syndication features and search widgets just to name a few, you are missing the boat big time for the what I see as the best optimization you can get for your listings. 

I added two short sale multi family listings that I had to RealBird, uploaded a few photos and used the syndication features to put these listings on Craigslist, Kijii.com and Backpage.com. In addition I posted both of these listings to my Active Rain blog and left it at that.

After listening to Katerina talk about her success with RealBird and Gabe explaining how to use it more effiectively, I did a Google search for Meriden Short Sales and was astonished to see the results.

Don't waste a second in providing your sellers with a great listing tool.  Go to Realbird.com immediately to sign up for an account.  Fill out the registration form, check off the Terms of Use box and click on Register. An email will be sent to you with your acccount information but immediately after registering you will be taken to the login page and can login to your account.

To begin creating your listing flyer click on the Listing Fyer tab at the top of the login page.  Now you'r ready to add your new listing.  Fill out the form with all of the listing information, save it as a draft, go back and upload all your photos, publish it and you will see results.

Gabe talked in great detail about how easy it is to use RealBird to create a listing flyer and to make sure you use the drop down boxes under the main listiing information page to write keyword rich descriptions, good neighborhood info, adding video, virtual tours and your bio.

A couple of important points that Katerina emphasized is to niche your searches and to use long-tailed keywords in the titles of your posts, in the content of your posts and in the title and description of your RealBird flyers.   Katerina does a wonderful job of explaining of all this in her SEO To The Top Webinars.  If you want to be really successful with SEO in your Active Rain blog and outside blog I highly recommend that you sign up for her next class in September.

Great advice Donna!  I use RealBird too and love it!  I've been using it since I joined AR and that is one of my favorite sites to post my listings--very user-friendly too!

Debe - I came across RealBird back in 1997 when I first got into real estate and can still remember calling Gabe and how wonderful and helpful he was.  He and Zoltan have come a long way with it and I'm thrilled to give them the kudos they deserve for such a wonderful product.

I've used RealBird just a little, but enough to see the powerful tool possibilities.  Have a new listing that I will be beginning to implement the marketing for today and will take advantage of your helpful post to ease the learning curve--not that the learning curve is at all steep with RealBird, but big, fresh how-to photos like yours are a real help and inspiration.

Donna,

I like your posting about the combination of Active Rain and RealBird.

I am seriously considering this option for my own use. But I only have 2 questions that maybe have an answer from you, Cabe, Brad or maybe a broker.

I understand that if we use other than our own listings to market them in our websites or in this case widgets in our blogs, that we need to show the name of the brokerage firm that that listing is with, I do not know if this is a local in my Greater Kansas City Metro KCRAR or Missouri and Kansas Real Estate Commission or Nationwide.

Our local MLS has an agreement with Point2 Agent Syndication. I understand that several syndication are fating each other. Who wins in that case, AR with RealBird or Point2?

I would real appreciate any answer to those questions.
