Who has an ambition in life to be mediocre? To be average? Just like everyone else?

Can we all be #1? No. But we can be BEST in our little world, our space we occupy. We must work at it of course, and never give up. Be the best, and live a rich life!!

I think the 80/20 principle has become the 90/10.......amazing when you think of it....

Funny when i think ofRocky I don't think of him as being all luvy dovey...but there you go....

Hi Gary, I think with the advent of many markets being overwhelmed with REO's,I'd say the 93/7 rule seems to fit what I have come to realize about those of that didn't get on the REO boat.

Depends on what our space looks like :) I like that part.

Life is to be lived at it's fullest and you are right it is not a dress rehearsal. I would think that 7 to 8 % is pretty accurate. It strikes me as odd where people don't instill old systems that work like prospecting by phone; it still works fine and it gets plenty of appointments. It always makes my day to read your post.

Hi Gary... I think that Richard has it right... being the best in the niche you create for yourself is a way for each of us to get noticed and be "the best".

Rocky was such an inspiration back in 76 and the music was a terrific addition to our office meetings.

Very good advice my friend. This gives us all something to work for and achieve.

I have known about the 90-10 rule. I guess these challenging times have bumped the numbers up. Thanks for keeping us on top of things. ;)

Gary: Great choice of clips here. I remember vividly driving to a sales meeting a few years ago when my business was suffering and happened on the Rocky soundtrack on an XM Radio channel. Gave me chills and even made me tear up. I just KNEW that I could get beyond the rough spot I was experiencing in my business. And I did!

Gary - this is a very good post - and being number one in your own world is paramount.

Being the best does not mean being number one. But being up on the top of the heap is satisfying.

I don't try to be # 1. I try to be the best. The best broker for my clients. The best broker for my agents. That has equaled success for me.

I'm still working at being the best. I know one of these days it will pay off.

Hi Gary I loved the clip and the message ..You really do get out of life what you put into it. It's ALL WORK but well worth the effort....in all things.
