Things to Do This Weekend in Flagstaff

Friday Evening: First Friday Art Walk, 6:30-9:00 p.m., free. Browse the downtown galleries, meet local artists and enjoy live music and refreshments. Be sure to stop in at Tom Alexander Photography at 427 S. San Francisco Street to catch the amazing new exhibit - starting at 5 p.m.

Friday Night: Movies on the Square, Heritage Square, entertainment at 6:00 p.m., movie at dusk, free. Bring blankets and chairs for an evening of family fun under the stars.

Saturday morning:  Ranger-Guided Ledge Hike, Walnut Canyon National Monument, 3 Walnut Canyon Rd., 10:00 a.m., $5, 928-526-3367,. Strenuous 2-mile hike to Sinagua ruins. (Reservations required; ages 18 and over only.)

Saturday afternoon:  Heritage Square Trust's Summer Concert Series Presents: Muskellunge Bluegrass (Nolan McKelvey) 2-5 p.m

Saturday Evening:  Summer Concert Series, The Arboretum at Flagstaff, 4001 S. Woody Mountain Rd., 5:30-7:00 p.m., $6 members, $8 non-members, 928-774-1442. Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy music under the pines.

Sunday afternoon: Heritage Square Trust's Summer Concert Series Presents: Al-Rakasaat, 2-3 pm

Saturday/Sunday: Artists' Marketplace of Flagstaff, Coconino Center for the Arts, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., free, 928-779-3827. Watercolors, acrylic and oil paintings, mixed media collage, fiber arts, photography, sculpture, pottery, jewelry and more. Food and entertainment.

Sunday: Cabin Walk, Walnut Canyon National Monument, 3 Walnut Canyon Rd., 10:00 a.m., $5, free 15 and under, 928-526-3367, Easy 2-mile walk to the 100-year-old Ranger cabin. (Reservations required; ages 9 and over only.)

Sunday: Canyon Dance Academy Presents: Mountain Dance, Coconino High School Auditorium, 2:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m., $5 adults, $3 children, 928-774-3937. New choreography, music and costumes.
