Chmielewski's Blueberry Farm

The early bird gets the berries!! This morning my daughter and I along with our good friends the Mirasolas got up early and went berry picking!!! Our family was introduced to Chmielewski's Blueberry Farm back in 2005 by some dear friends of ours...and we try to go annually.  this sweet berry picking goldmine lies just west of Cypress.   The gates opened at 7:30am, and we were there by 7:40.  Because there has been no rain all season, the berries are not as plentious as in years past.  Still, we each got a nice amount, and at $3.00/pound, we consider it a deal!!  These berries are MUCH sweeter than what we get at the local grocery store, and they're SO good for you!!!  If you live in the Houston area or are here for a visit during the summer, this is a fun activity to do in the morning.  Hours of operation vary, so be sure to check the website www.chmielewski-blueberry.com before you go!! :)  Happy Berry Picking!!
