Happy Wedding Anniversary

JUNE 28, 1969 - JUNE 28, 2009

The Fortieth Anniversary is indeed a reason for revelry and celebration. Forty successful years of marriage is no easy achievement. The Fortieth Anniversary is called the "ruby anniversary."

John William Corbett, from Pawtucket, RI 02960 married me, Kathleen Ann Pacheco, from East Providence, RI 02914 on this day 40 years ago, Saturday, June 28, 1969 at 11:00am at St Francis Xavier Church on 81 North Carpenter Street in East Providence, Rhode Island, 02914 It was an extremely hot day in the 90's. We had our wedding pictures taken at Slater Park, Pawtucket, RI 02960. Our reception was at the Falstaff in Seekonk, MA. A day to remember, the air conditioning broke down and we sweltered. but when you are in love you over look any mishaps.

DIEGO: THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONGRATULATIONS. Glad you enjoyed the photos.

JL: It is amazing that it does not seem like 40 years. We enjoy each others company and spend much time communicating which is so important in a relationship. I do hope you make it to this milestone of 40 years. John and I are now planning for our 50th.

MATT: Thank you, we appreciate you good cheers.

GEORGE: I do hope this was a typo 356th this October. I graduated from EPHS in 1962 and my brother Edmund was 1966. We lived on Warren Avenue. Actually we have cousins on Tenth, Camara and my grandmother lived on Juniper (Pacheco). Small world.

Do you still have family living in East Providence?

STEVE: Thanks for visiting, 40 years is hard work but it can be fun if you make that commitment to work at it. Since we spend so much time together, the years seem so much less.

We are dedicated to each other. We make each other the priority of our life.

IRENE: Thank you. To our surprise there was a celebration planned . Great surprise for us on Sunday evening.

SUMA: I appreciate your congratulations. It definitely does not seem as long as 40 years.

Kathleen yes it was a typo, it should say 35 years :)

Kathleen - Congratulations! 40 years is a long time to be arguing about the toilet seat :-) I've got 2 ex wives but this time I have a keeper - 12 years and counting. We've got a long way to go to reach your wonderful milestone.

MARY: I took your advice I took a few days off with John and enjoyed an extra long weekend from Friday, June 26 through Tuesday, June 30th. Now it is time to work again.

JOHN: I have been quite fortunate, we do have our share of arguments including the toilet seat (up or down) like any married couple but we don't say mad. John is the one who can snap me out in a moment, he loves to joke and is always in a good mood.

May you look forward to many years ahead of you with your new significant other.
