This is a stopping point in this post for those who refuse to dress for success. If you are a top producer with a bed head and chives in your teeth, I guess I’m in need of your infomercial because I don’t get it. Probably never will.
If first impressions are a major factor in how clients select agents, why show up looking like bevis or buthead?
I am amazed at agents that have a bohemian attitude concerning decorum and dress. I think I’m suffering from a form of jealousy because I could never pull off a grill smile in baggy pants when dealing with clients. Those that can …my hats off.
So here is the purpose of this post: You spent so much effort to gain that qualified client. Why are you in such a hurry to turn them off?

I watched and mimicked based upon what I perceived as effective. This was a golden rule. Show up looking like a professional and odds are you will reap professional results.
