Smith Bros. Mansion is in Poughkeepsie. ( the cough drop men). The Mansion is now apartments.

Vanderbilt and Roosevelt both had homes in Hyde Park. These are also open for tours.

Bardavon  is one of the oldest active theatre in the US. It is on the Historic registry.

Fishkill, NY was the temporary capital of NY for 6 months.

Van Wyck Homestead in Fishkill, NY was the Revolutionary War headquaters for the Continental Army Quarter Master.

These are just a FEW of the many interesting things about Dutchess County, NY.
