If you leave a comment, Russel will visit your blog and comment.I really like visiting and inspecting renovated properties because I've been involved with several hundred property renovations myself.

Consequently, it's always fun to compare what I might have done to what was done.

Invariably, of course, what I would have done is far, far, far, far superior to what they actually did.

Well, usually.

I never would have done this to a foundation crawl space, especially one under a house with about 3,000 square feet:

Foundation crawl space     Foundation crawl space

I can confirm that I certainly enjoyed this crawl space, especially since it had a heavy duty ventilation system installed, which worked very well:

Ventilation system for foundation crawl space

Nope. I can honestly say that in all the property renovations I have done, I would never have thought about putting a concrete floor in the foundation crawl space and then installing a real cool ventilation system.

This was, hands down, my mostest uniquest foundation crawl space ever.

Wow! That is perhaps the cleanest crawlspace I've ever seen. Have seen concrete before, but nothing to compare to that one. Makes you wonder if they once had a serious moisture problem.

How cool is that (PUN intended)!  I've never seen anythnig like that--makes you wonder what the purpose was--especially since it is so well ventilated!

Very interesting indeed. Ditto about never seeing that clean of a crawl space - not that I have seen that many though...~ Rita

We see very few crawlspaces up here in the land of basements, but the ones we see are almost always dirt and dingy.  Someone really paid to do that one right.

Hey, John - Moisture problems is a possibility since this was on a hillside over near the coast.

Hey, Debe - Although we usually recommend vapor barriers in the crawl spaces here, no one ever listens to us. This guy, perhaps, did listen to his home inspector when he bought the house.

Hey, Al and Peggy - I think if the younger generation can make up words for texting, and even moms and dads over at Twitter, well, I can make up a word, too!

Hey, Rita - Are you trying to say that you don't crawl into the foundation crawl space with the inspector? What kind of Realtor are you? LOL

Hey, Brenda - I actually did have the privilege of inspecting a basement here several years ago. I was so confused about what it was that I couldn't find my way out and had to be rescued - LOL.
