I am always recruiting, but I am also surprised sometimes when I hear where or how my prospect found me or my company. I would love to hear, "I found your information on Active Rain!" That has not happened yet, but I do have hope.

Most of the time, when I ask how a prospect heard of Gloria Nilson GMAC Real Estate, it is through our reputation. Most agents site their knowledge of the market areas we are in, our reputation, and our agents professionalism as TOP reasons they would want to join our office. Now don't get me wrong, some agents will still tell me they are happy at their office, for now, and are just interested in learning more about us, or they tell me how flattered they are that I contacted them. That is where I find "Peace" while recruiting for our 17 offices. Knowing that there are agents that are exploring their options, and calling me.

The most productive recruiting tool you could have is a reputation in your market area. That will make the agents seek you out, and maybe the next agent that calls you to join your office will say "I found your information on Active Rain!"

Thank you for reading!

It would be nice to hear from a new recruit saying they found us on Active Rain!

Allison,

It's already happening among the mortgage companies and real estate offices, I hear, so soon it's your turn I'm sure. As AR is gaining more momentum, recruiting probably will become one of the community's side aspects.

Allison,  My very first post was answering a blog about the differences between KW and Exit.  2 days later I got a call!  This agent was thousands of miles away, but I was tickled pink to get that call!  it just shows to go ya..people do read this stuff!

Thank you all for your comments. I am happy to know that I am not the only one that sees more recruiting being done through Active Rain!

It was good to see someone else felt the same as I.

I am still waitting for that recruit to say they found me through Active Rain. I know that there are other brokers doing the same as one pointed out one day that he and I were the only ones using the internet this way.

My office is about 6 months old and I feel like I have the best to offer. I am taking it slow and easy and being selective in the process.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you have had a blessed day.

Hi Lamar! Thank you for your comment. You are right to take an easy and selective approach to recruiting in your market area. Hope you have a great weekend!

Allison- I hired my first experienced agent from Active Rain.   When I first joined AR, I looked for other area rainers - she was one of the first.  I commented, she commented- soon thereafter we met, the timing was right and she came over.  Your reputation is out there, which is a great foundation- AR just helps make the prospecting easier.

Hi Beth! Congratulations on your hire- and you mention a very important piece as well. The timing is such an important part of the process. Someone can love your company, but it the timing isn't right, they won't join your team. Thank you very much for your comment!

Never say never...Let's see what you have to report on this subject in a few more months...You seem to be very active and involved in the AR community...What you give is what you get back....
