Real Estate Staging Association is dedicated to compiling and reporting accurate and up to date information on staging statistics.   It is very important to the staging industry to be able to compile statistics on the benefits of staging and staging business trends.

Below are two surveys you can participate in to help build these statistics.  When we have signifigant data we will be reporting back our findings. Please answer honestly so we can compile the most accurate information.

Great.  Now there can be  some actual staging stats.  I have tried to find stats and have been unsuccessful.  I did so a search on some stats that were titled Staging Polls - They did not pan out.

Thanks for doing this.  I like consistency.  I do have a question about #14 on the first survey though.  Are we supposed to fill in the days?  I can only check it.  Thanks

Hi Shell,

I had trouble with the first survey, it wouldn't let me put $1,100,000 for the list price of the house or any other listing price. so I couldn't do the first survey. I did do the second one. Let me know what I'm doing wrong and I'll retake it.

Hi Shell,

This is wonderful!  Thanks so much for doing this.  Like others I couldn't put in the number of days for item 14, could only check the circle.

Is kitty in her new home?

OK apparently the survey doesnt recognize there are actually million dollar homes, lol, so, I have adjusted it to a text box instead of numerical and it works now.

Kitty is still here, my fiance's ex wife is taking her so his kids get to keep her but at their moms house. We have them one week she has them one week and back and forth but I wont require visitation for the kitty. LOL, she has grown twice her size allready

Thanks Shell,

I would like to see new statistics on staging a home and selling a home from RESA. That always impresses my clients and Real Estate Professionals.

Sharon

Can you clarify what you mean?  These stats are all about staging. Let me know what you mean

Dear Shell,

The stats that list what the percentage is from time of staging to selling, remodel percentages. If you do not have these right now, we can perhaps fill them in later. I was just curious because my stats came in from ASP about 3 yrs. ago.

Thanks,

Sharon

Hi Shell

Just wondering the surveys don't cover homes that have been consulted on.  I have done only consults so far.  But the home owners followd my recommendations and home sold.

Hi Isabel,

Great question! This survey was focusing on professional staging so we didnt want to include consult results. BUT I wil certainly make a survey specific to that, great idea, the more info the better.

I will try to get it done by Monday.

Shell,

This is an excellent way to quantify the value of staging. Thanks for the post.

Shell ~ Were the statistics posted yet?  I actually had someone ask a question about this on one of my blog posts, and the information I have is probably outdated (although obviously still in favor of staging).   Thanks!

Hi Kathy,

Unfortunately not enough people are putting in their statistics. People need to put in each and every house they stage not just do the survey once or twice. the industry and stagers all wanted stats tracked so we are more than willing to do it but we need people to participate.
