Or is there even a question here?

Just closed the book and sighed.  The book that caused this reaction? "HANDLE WITH CARE" by Jodi Picoult. Its a story about a family who's youngest child is born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta otherwise known as OI.

Jodi Picoult is an excellent writer, somehow she bonds you as one with the characters, making you feel their many emotions that take a roller coaster ride.

She has you assume & understand their viewpoints and she puts many questions in your head. http://www.jodipicoult.com/handle-with-care.html

It's ok guys, this is not a chick book.  Its a very revealing novel that you will enjoy.

In her writing, Jodi weaves alot of information and true insight into OI.  This book is very well written with a touch of humour.  There is also valuable information to lean on, should you have special needs clients or clients with special needs children.

Jodi Picoult is also the author of  the book "My Sisters Keeper" that is currently playing at the movie theatres starring Carmeron Diaz.

Thank you, Al and Peggy, I was actually looking for a new book to read. That sounds like something I won't be able to put down.

Hi Peg,

Sorry we couldn't meet up yesterday.  Funny you were here in Oakville and we actually came down 27 through your neck of the woods.  I want to see My Sister's Keeper.  I heard the acting is amazing but it's a 3 hanky movie.

Thanks as always Al and Peggy. In addition to being a good read, I'm sure this book fills the role of informing about a relative unknown disease. The more we know the more we can understand when it reaches our lives. You never know the impact this could have on the people who have this affliction. Would autism research be where it is without "Rainman" or MPD without '"Sybil"?

Al & Peggy, it sounds like a great book.  I have been reading only business stuff and I need a break.  I will check that out next time I'm at Chapters.  Thanks,

We had a run on "My Sister's Keeper" at Borders when the movie came out. Right now we're having a run on all things Michael Jackson, which is too bad since it has been so obvious over the past 15 years that he was a pedophile.

I'm a compassionate person, but I don't think I'm really that strong of a person, so I'm not sure how I would cope in a situation like that.
