This is my bicentennial post

Active Rain is a cyber tribe, a group of extraneous people from all over North America who have come together for what ever reasons.  Here we have found friendship, knowledge and joy in box chatting!shift key on a keyboard I am proud to be a tribe member.

Over the past 82 days, I have been guilty of writing 200 posts, either good, bad or ugly on this wonderful community called Active Rain.  The ride has and will continue to be fun.  I love being part of history, although we don't think of it like that, it is.  Someday our great-grand kids will log on to Google and find something we wrote and laugh out loud with joy to know us.

The social networking side is, joyful, enlightening, heartwarming and thought provoking. We feel close to many we never would have had the opportunity to meet. Many have become part of our household conversations and our lives.  My spouse who has yet to blog or even log on on knows what is current and topical here.  Lucky for me I broke him in early many years ago, he knows not to get between me and my computer. (big smile yes I know I am lucky!).

What have I learned?

  • Dwell on the public side, it brings business
  • Play on the associates side ~ it brings joy
  • Help whenever possible ~ it feels good
  • Don't advertise ~ live it
  • Always use the spell checker
  • Read it twice
  • Don't drive and blog
  • Don't blog the morning before an airplane trip or if you do reset the damn clock on the computer
  • Planes leave whether you are there or not
  • Complain only once in awhile
  • Spread the word ~ share more joy
  • Business is infinite not finite ~ there's enough for all of us

I'd like to thank The Boys who live on the back end of The Rain for giving me the opportunity to blog.  I appreciate their silent support and encouragement to blog better.  Thanks for the platform and all you do!

200 posts?  We've only just begun.

Wow, 200 posts. That's awesome Kristal. I think I have read all of them since the first week in July when I joined. It is great to be a part of this network. Keep up the good work. I will look forward to reading many more.

What a GREAT post, Kristal!!  As always with your posts, you can feel how much you love to share and be a part of a community.  It comes through in everything you share here.

I feel as you wrote about some other groups that I'm part of, and hope to get more entrenched here as well.  Being part of communities such as this one, and others, is what life is all about.  Sharing, caring, laughing, crying, learning.....always learning.

And I thank YOU and SO MANY OTHERS for all that I've learned in the short time I've been part of Active Rain.  And I plan to keep on learning from one and all here, as well as sharing whatever I have of worth to share.

Thank you, Kristal, for all you are!

"Kristal"

Man...that is a lot of posting...I don't know where you find the time! I like your list. I forget to do spell check my "box chats" and learned not to drive and take notes...I was almost hit by a truck. DUH!

Any way to spell check without loading a Google Bar or other Bars...they really slow down this girly laptop of mine? Need the top speed...Hard to do a girly laptop!

I am off to do some meeting and greeting.

I've been clicking looking for this post ALL DAY.  Of course, the inimitable Ms. KK smashes another one over the left field fence, making it well worth my wait.

I think we will call it Kristal Kraft Week!  70k and 200 posts, both achieved within two days of each other.

Lets open a bottle of Cristal in honor of Kristal.

Dear Lovely Wife,

I've found that I can write my postings in my email letter format which has a wonderful spell checker and grammar checker too.

Makes it easy!

However, I'm not into driving and posting!

Hi Kristal,

Congrats on your 200th post!

BTW, for those of you with the Google Toolbar installed, you can simply click the button "ABC Check", before hitting submit, to make sure your comments and blog posts are as professional as possible looking (since there will be no spelling errors).

Fantastic milestone, Kristal!

And may I say your posts are not point related, but a multitude of heartwarming, informational and great reads.

Your personality definitely shows through your blogs. And you are becoming an icon here on Active Rain.

Congratulations!

Matt:  Of course, use the spell checker on my Google Toolbar! Duh.  Why didn't I think of that?

But my "errors" tend to range beyond simple typos.  They are often of the concept-and-clarity variety that require the restructuring of entire sentences.  And they are never evident until after I hit the "submit" button.

Edit:  Well, drat, here's one of those conceptual boo-boos right now.  I forget to say:  Congratulations, Kristal!!!!

Cheryl I know about the errors, dread!  I look at a comment of mine yesterday and noticed I used "know" instead of "no".

Now I know better than that!
