The other day I took one of my Clients and her husband to the San Diego Zoo as a reward for her sticking to her game plan.
I might be a laid-back Southern boy born and raised in Texas, but when it comes to business, that laid-backness takes a hike. If you want to be successful, you have to work.
I don't take on Clients who don't want to work, and I always provide them with even more incentive to work than simply being successful with their business.
I've got four more Clients to take to the Zoo -- I take the Top Five each quarter -- but meanwhile, here are four pictures of a little guy who was having lunch and wondering why we all were staring at him:
Our zoo has monkey island...and lots of gymnastics...or monkey nastics....and I could watch them all day...know it or not...you are a charter member of the "It's All About the Party" philosophy rewarding folks...and it is such a good feeling...a good thing to keep your eye on the very positive finish line when you are not being that not so relaxed southern boy...
Hey, Karen - If I had lived by a Zoo like this while I was in college, I'd still be in college. Either that or I'd be a worker at the Zoo.
Hey, Rebecca - I've only been to the National Zoo once, 25 years ago now. I'm still trying to make all the big Zoos. About 80% there.
Hey, Sharon - It's something that I've done in all my businesses. Good Clients get rewarded for making me successful through their success.
Hey, Diane - Now, now, now. LOL
Hey, Bob and Carolin - With my new Canon Rebel XSi, I'm able to get better pictures of Zoey now because when I push the shutter button, there is no delay. The picture I want is the picture I get. It's just a matter of being patient waiting for Zoey the Cool Cat to be, well, Zoey the Cool Cat.
Hey, Matt - Sorry, but you'll have to get your own. This one's mine.
Hey, Sally and David - Most of our monkey exhibits here have some islands with lots of water, branches, and ropes for them to play on. I'm like you in that I could watch them all day.
Hey, Dorie - Only once have my Clients chosen not to go to the Zoo. That time they chose to go to the Chula Vista Nature Center.
Hey, Sharon - If I could get me a job at the Zoo, I might give up ActiveRain. Or not.
Hey, Kate - Hard-working Clients are successful Clients. They have to follow my game plan, which produces results. Those who persistently and consistently follow my game plan tend to be the most successful, so they are the ones I reward. I'm more of the let's not reward the lucky lottery winner for being lucky; instead, let's reward the hard workers for persistently and consistently working hard.
Hey, Barbara - As my wise old grandmother said, "Hard work is good for the soul."
Hey, Tony - All you have to do is come see it for yourself when you come to the NAR Convention this November!
