It's almost license renewal time again!

If you are a Florida real estate licensee and you would like to check on your Continuing Education credits, please follow the directions below:

To view your Continuing Education Credits online through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).

•1.    Go to this Web site:  http://www.myflorida.com/dbpr/

•2.    Click on DBPR Online Services at the upper left side of the page.

•3.    Under User Services click on My Continuing Education.

•4.    If this is your first time using the site, under Path 1, click on GO.

•5.    If you have used the site before, under Path 2, click on GO.

•6.    If you don't have the initial Personal Identification Number (PIN) sent to you from DBPR, please call 850.487.1395 for assistance.

Your initial PIN number should be the last four digits of your Social Security number or Federal Tax ID number.  If neither of those numbers works, call the Customer Contact Center at 850.487.1395.  The Customer Contact Center hours of operations are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. EST.

It is very important that you keep all your continuing education letters to validate your coursework. 
These letters will tell you the course names and how many credits you received. If the credits did not get transmitted successfully to DBPR, then you will be able to use the letters to verify your attendance.

Thanks for the reminder, Danielle.  I got my notice from DBPR last week.  I have the remainder of my CE credits to obtain, scheduled for next week, then I'll get my renewal done.

I'm an agent in Arizona, we have 24 hrs of Continuing Education.  Luckily in the last few years the State has loosened their restrictions somewhat and allow different topics to be taught...like FHA Loan requirements, how to avoid legal problems in a closing, etc. 

So this year I've had to cram 24 hrs. of continuing ed. into 3 a month period because I was lazy the first 21 months.  It has been a great learning experience and a joy to experience.  It's good to know that it is really 24 hrs. worth spending.
