I found this video on Facebook with a request to share. So I am sharing. All of these videos and these holidays about our great country really cause me some emotion. My husband has spent two tours in Iraq, but before that he was in other places of the world fighting for freedom. Freedom is his occupation is what I like to say. He loves his country and loves the Navy and the Marine Corps. He has been shot at and blown up and I am sure some day he will have to deal with those things. TBI and IED are words in our vocabulary. Soon he will begin another 3 years of sea duty which means deployment. He will be headed to Camp Lejeune in North Carolina to run a BAS for the 2nd Marine Division. He is my hero and I miss him unbelievably when he is away. Well, darn I have got off track here - watch the video and say a prayer of thanks for all those that keep us FREE!

God bless our fighting men and woman and those that provide the level of support to enable them to endure, like you. Thank your husband for serving his country for me. It would be an honor.
Jo, my 8 year old son has gone up to military personnel when they are in uniforms or if he knows they have served or are serving and has thanked them for their service. It is wonderful to see and the soldiers are so touched. It has brought many a tear to my eyes.
We were with the Boy Scouts at Arlington recently and he thanked 3 WWII vets. All three men in their wheelchairs thanked me for raising such a "nice young man" and had tears in their eyes. When we see a WWII vet he always asks them if they have served in the Marshall Islands. That is where both of my boys are adopted from. It is neat for all parties.
