Kimberly, I'm with you.
I can't remember a 4th of July that was so significant.
Kimberly, I have to come back and watch that video later but I agree. Lets look at the things that mean something to our lives. Give Mr. Jackson his due, but move on! Our news just chews and chews and chews the same old crap over and over again. Even a cow swallows her cud when she is finished with it.
Kimberly, Thanks for sharing - I of course watch the full video. Tears streaming down my face. When Taps started to play my heart just broke. I agree with what you have said. These are the true American Icons - all the men and women of the military past, present and future. We as a country need to get our priorities straight.
What a parade! These are the true American heroes in my book. As I watch this video I think of my own 18 year old son (only child) who is preparing to serve this great country and protect our precious freedoms. He will be leaving for Marine boot camp Sept. 14th 2009. It is truly a sacrifice for one to offer his or her own life to protect the freedoms of millions. I am very proud of my son. I'm positive that the Beale family feels the same. Pray for our troops. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Kimberly-what an amazing and terribly sad video. It is very hard to watch but at the same time the turn out is very heart warming. It is good to see how many came out to show their support to this family in their time of tragedy and sorrow. My heart goes out to this family and to all who have lost loved ones and still have loved ones in the military. Every day is a trial and I don't know how they manage. May an end to these wars come quickly and bring everyone back home safely.
Corie..I can't even begin to explain the significance I feel.
Andrea...I love that, I'm going to use that one.
Jo..I cried too, I had to watch it 3 times.
JoAnn...my good childhood friend, I can't even imagine how frightened and proud you must be. I'll be keeping him in my prayers.
Debra....I do wonder who coordinated that parade. Whoever it was, they did a great job!
Thanks everyone for the comments. Share that link with your friends. I wish everyone could see it.
Kimberly, I have recently been checking back into ActiveRain, and I noticed that I had subscribed to your blog previously and couldnt recall why. Well after this post i know... THis was a very touching and inspirational video, and it is hard to not put things into perspective after a post like that. Today's economic challenges are far less important then so many others challenges. Thank you so much for your post.
