Wow, I thought I would try another blog and write something of value...hmmm....
Have you ever noticed how some Realtors wonder why "You are having success and they are not"...those Realtors seem to think there is a quick way to sell millions...so they listen, attend, buy programs...when all there is to it; is hard work called prospecting. Just picking up the phone and calling cold, warm, hot leads that you may have received through expireds, fsbo, coi or leads that you have purchased.
But, there is no big secret! It is dedication, hard work, perseverance, the ability to take a NO and keep on going! It also means thinking outside the box and finding opportunities that will be sometimes out of your comfort range. Another way is to network in groups; this is such an old practice, but it is a very effective way to get clients.
Sometimes we just need to look around us and see what we are missing out on when it comes to people that are in and out of our lives on a routine basis.
There is no short cut to success, it is again having goals and the determination to make those happen at the level that you decide upon.

I am a real estate agent here in Richmond, VA. You mentioned cold calling in your post and I have a question - Where do you get the phone numbers to call? I have tried downloading property owner information from property records but only a few of the owners have phone numbers listed here. In the days before Do Not Call agents used the 'blue book' in the office.
Can you offer suggestions?
