Washed by the seas of time and caressed until bleached by the sun...
The Sand Dollar is found.
Not alone but with many of her kind. Each one unique, and desired by all on the sandy beach.
Children squeal and run to be first to hold her.As the others pile up in the pail.
If not quick, the waves will reclaim her and a chance will be left behind.

Sand Dollars and Sea Shells we will be collecting tomorrow. My girls and I love walking along the beach and no telling what all we might find.
I used to have a collection of sand dollars. Somewhere along the line, they have disappeared... I do have a few left .. they bring good luck you know.

When my kids were little, we often visited my sister at Hilton Head in SC. Their favorite activity was "treasure hunting" for sand dollars. They would spend days totally immersed in that activity.

I've found just about everything on the beaches where I have walked, but the one thing I've never found is a sand dollar. I've always had to buy them at the seashell store. :(
That would be magical, I think, to find one of these at the sea...they are beautiful, as are your words for them...we didn't even have to guess! :-)
