PRICES ARE INCREASING in MARYLAND AND NORTHERN VIRGINIA - THE MARKET CAN'T BE STOPPED

FOR ACTIVE RAIN MARKET MARKET WATCHERS, THE BELOW INFORMATION COMPILED THIS A.M. SHOWS THAT "THE MORE THINGS CHANGE, THE MORE THEY STAY THE SAME".  

REAL ESTATE IS A GOOD INVESTMENT, ALWAYS HAS BEEN AND APPARENTLY ALWAYS WILL BE.  The price trend is UP for Spring 2007 real estate in the Homefinders.com market area. 

NORTHERN VIRGINIA REAL ESTATE experienced a price increase of about 3%.

We're still doing some vigorous negotiating for our buyers, but we're not seeing the dramatic reductions that we saw 6 months ago.  We'll watch this carefully and report back in July 2007.

It IS a Buyer's Market, but some folks will always buy. 

What isn't reflected above is the number of sales because the system won't give me numbers for that many counties.  They stop at 5000 and I didn't have the time, or ambition to do them separately and add them up. 

Days on the Market appears to have stabalized too.
