4th of July on the beach at Ocean Shores, Washington.  A community picnic will be held at North Bay park on July 3rd and of course, fireworks on the beach July 4th!  What a great time to make memories with family and friends!  Our weather is going to be in the 70's or so.  Come on out and celebrate our Country with us, but do remember the following rules and please pick up ALL of your spent fireworks and garbage as our beach is not a landfill. 

Steven's eye was shot out on the 4th of July in 2002, at the beach.   He was picking up garbage on the beach after the show when a bottlerocket flew into his eye, blinding him for life.  He spent 7 months in bed, recovering from several surgeries.  Soon he will have a prosthetic installed.  He is dreading another surgery and recovery time.  Please, protect your children and yourself by wearing  eye protection around the fireworks.
