Continued from Week 4

I suppose I have to give up pretending that I've been holding up my end of the bargain here.  So, I'll be changing the titles to reflect the post number.  In all honesty, I think I'm on Week 10.  That being said, Growth Leader is definitely delivering!

Once again, for info on the horses, see Week 1.

Let's see how the race is going....

Growth Leader comes out of the second turn with a full head of steam and a four-length lead.  He is about 2 widths off of the rail and shows no real sign of slowing.  The pace is fast, but he looks to be cruising.  The jockey glances under his right arm to sneak a peek at the rest of the field and has to be happy with what he sees.

EastLouHomes is holding steady, but his rider is working much harder to keep him in contention.  Every stride requires full attention and it seems to be everything the tandem can do just to stay within striking distance.  At this point, it is hard to imagine the horse will have what it takes to overcome the leader.

What's this?!

Chance has picked up the pace and is actually gaining on both leaders.  Four solid contacts during the last week via AR have given new life to this contestant.  Her head is down and her hooves barely seem to touch the dirt as she moves alongside EastLouHomes.  The crowd lets out a roar in recognition of the both the move and of the likelihood of an unexpected payout.

Leadstreet is still running, but is so far off the pace, that the rest of the race is really for pride.  Both jockey and thoroughbred seem confused.  It is really hard to tell whether this is just a bad day or the stallion is simply out of his league.  If there is any good news for the owners, it is that the investment was minimal.

The same cannot be said for Nameless.  This high-priced horse is now running at the back of the pack.  The rider continues to fight a loose saddle and what appears to be a beaten horse.  At this point, the couple are 15 lengths back and fading.

Heading back up to the leaders....OH NO! Nameless is down! Nameless is down!  Both horse and rider are on the dirt just before the 1/2 mile marker.  The rest of the riders are oblivious and continue to drive their mounts toward the far end of the backstretch.  In fact, only about one-third of the crowd has noticed.  It looks like the medical staff is scrambling to the ambulance.  One can only hope that horse and rider will get up.

Translation...

GL continues to deliver leads.  The week-to-week pace has been fairly steady although I may get 3 on one day and none for the next few.  I've run into 6 people who have agents already.  All-in-all, I find it somewhat humorous that their agent doesn't have a website/IDX solution.

AR delivered big time this week.  I'll probably write about it separately, but I am now working with 3 buyers who found me through AR.  Additionally, a seller contacted me this evening!

Not to beat a dead-horse, but if Vision incorporated neighborhoods that were recognizable in Louisville, I'd strongly consider dropping my other IDX solution.  Even if I kept it, I would definitely redirect traffic through GL.  The client management is just that easy.

I have seen many Growth Leader posts over the past few months. Many have had great things to say and only a few complaints. Im glad things are working out great for you. Congrats!

From the posts I've read, it seems that Growth Leader is providing better results in smaller markets. I'm having mixed results here in San diego.

John - I really like the interface as it makes it easier to follow-up with clients.  With a few tweaks it could be really powerful.

Jim - I'm not sure the strength of leads is any better than anything else I've used, but I definitely like the format.  That being said, I picked up a listing from GL this weekend.  The sellers are trading-up so I'll get a sale on that end as well.  (As long as I can sell their home, of course:))

Hi Erik, thanks for the update! Your horse race has kept me in great suspense, and I eagerly await your next report! Vision is a very powerful platform to capture and convert your prospects, and the contact management system portion is a great tracking and organizational tool. I'd like to add that you can expect an enhancement to the neighborhoods/community search feature in our next Vision upgrade.

Hi Jim, I know of other agents using Growth Leader in the San Diego market who are doing well. I would suggest that you speak with one of our account managers. They would be able to address any of your concerns and offer suggestions/best practices that may help you attain the results you are looking for. Please call them at 1-800-491-3687. Hope this helps!

I enjoyed how you employed the horse race as a literary device.  Set some odds and you'll soon be able to set up a numbers shop ;)

Daren - I'm fairly certain Jennifer wouldn't approve, but between you an me the in-race odds are Vision 3-1, EastLouHomes 5-1, Chance 8.5-1, LeadStreet 20-1, Nameless 1000-1.

Hi Erik -- I like your analogies.  I just finished a vacation in Louisville last week and saw one of the night racing runs at Churchhill Downs -- what a fun time, let alone everything else we did.  We found people from Louisville to be some of the most hospitable people on the planet! :-)

Chris - Night racing turned out to be a huge success for Churchill Downs.  The first week, they had almost 10 time the number of people they expected.  The pace continued for the duration of the season.  I'm glad you had a good experience here.

Erik,

I am at the end of my trial period and really want to renew, but the past 2 mos. have been so slow to non-existent with the leads coming in. It makes me a little nervous to jump in. When I first started it was good- actually great-now-not so much. HMMMM.....

So I have two questions:

  1. Did you get behind on your Growth Leader posts because you were hanging out at the horse races?
  2. Did you finally get caught up in between horse races?

LOL

Russel - All I'm going to say is that the Spring Season for Churchill Downs is now over.  You'll just have to see if my blogging rate changes and make your own judgements.
