Friday evening and I was off to show condos in beautiful Bronte Village.  The Four "Ennisclare" condominium buildings on Marine Drive in Oakville appeal to those who desire lakeside living with luxurious amenities.  Some of the units I showed had stunning views from the balconies of the Toronto skyline at sunset.  Others overlooked Bronte harbour and outer marina.

I can only imagine waking up every morning and seeing Lake Ontario from my bedroom.  After the showings, I decided to take a walk down the Bronte Pier.  Dusk was setting in and the area was quiet, peaceful and serene.

A few anglers were grouped together on the end of the pier and a smattering of strollers were watching the last sailboats returning to their berths.  Although the calendar says it's July, there was a slight chill in the air.

Oakville truly is a wonderful place to call home.

Jenny:  What great pictures.  How wonderful it must be to live this close to the water.  Bronte Harbour looks so lovely... so peaceful.  If if lived there... I would guess it would quickly become one of my favourite places.  Thanks for the great pictures,

All the photos were lovely but the lighthouse tugged at my heart.  I've always had a thing for them.

Hi Jenny - I haven't been out to Bronte Pier in a number of years.  Now that I'm getting into the blogging routine, I am starting to carry around my camera more often.

Hi Jenny!  What a lovely place to live, I think I could get used to that view.  I love your photos and descriptions.  As I sit here, Jenny, there is a huge chill-- it doesn't feel like July here either.  When I was showing houses earlier today, it was 59 degrees. BRRRRRRRRRR

Hi Karen Anne - for years I took the lake for granted - now it's my fave hangout - I pretend I'm on holidays at the Ocean lol.

Hi T. & D. - It's not hard trying to sell people on this community.  Only a half hour from the big city of Toronto ( well depending on the traffic) but there is a commuter train.

Thanks Ryan - I do love calling Oakville home.

Hi Roy - I'm glad you were able to stop by and enjoy the photos

Hey Sash - How's the garbage strike coming?  I hope the Toronto strike doesn't last as long as yours.  I hope people aren't dumping it into the lakes.

Thanks Kris - I love lighthouses also.  I kept clicking away to make sure I got the light glowing.

Hi Anna - Yes it doesn't seem like July weather but I don't mind.  It's nice not to have the a/c on.

Hi Charles, I never get tired of taking photos at the harbour.

Hi Myrl, We went away on holidays a couple of weeks ago to Michigan and I took lots of great lighthouse photos there also.  I love history and water so it's a great combination.

Hi Michael - Taking a walk by the lake really does relax you.  Just seeing others enjoying it with their kids and dogs makes you appreciate life a little more.

Hi Xinh, Sometimes the end of daylight does seem a little doomsday or eerie but it often takes on a kind of magic of its' own.
