I agree with the article, I love doing open houses, I usually get one buyer a month on average over the year from open houses. It gets people to know you and your personality, something sometimes you can't get across on the web. Remember people hire people they feel they know and like and if they are at an open house it is because their agent wouldn't show them homes that day or they don't have one!

One can make anything work if one will do it persistently and consistently. I can tell you definitively that open houses work for me. In fact, I'll have to do a blog post on it today.

Also remember what Warren Buffet says: "If everyone is doing something, do something else." The reason why that works is because then you'll be unique.
