Serena Williams beats big sister Venus Williams 7-6 (3), 6-2 on Saturday for her third Wimbledon title.

I say..  WHO CARES???????

Did you hear about the 1st Annual SouthWest Fort Wayne 4th of July Open sponsored by

REMAX Home Connection??

Well if you haven't heard about it or didn't atten you missed a battle of the ages!

Huge underdog Jared Christiansen pulled off a stunner today, defeating the much younger and defending champion J. Michael Christiansen 0-6, 1-6, 7-6 (4), 7-5, 7-5 for his first (and probably last) title.

Oddsmakers in Vegas made J. Michael a HUGE favorite to win over his much older father Jared, but the old dog had a few new tricks up his sleeve.

After getting beat down the first two sets Jared threatened to "ground" his son if he didn't let him win a set.  From then on it was a battle of the ages.

Jared was finally able to put young J. Michael away in the fifth set after he bribed his son by telling him that if he let him win he could drive home.

When we tried to ask Jared about this controversy all he said in passing was

"Get out of my way.  I need to lay down."

When we asked J. Michael about the controversy he just smirked and said...

"That's the only wan that old man can beat me is by cheating.  He knows it.  When he falls asleep tonight I am going to sneak in his room and take what is rightfully mine.  Oh, and thanks to REMax Home Connection for putting this thing on.  They are truly a great company."

There you have it.  Congrats to Jared Christiansen and J. Michael Christiansen for a great match!
