Fireworks and Firearms...

Yesterday, being the 4th of July was a great day to watch the fireworks displays in downtown Nashville, Crockett Park in Brentwood, or over in Franklin. But yesterday also marked the end of the career for former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair. He was found shot to death yesterday in a downtown condo. You can read the full story here.

Steve was 36 and left behind a wife and 4 children.

I am sorry to read of this tragedy. My prayers are with his family.

Mine too. It is really sad, but before it is all said and done, I suspect that it will boil down to a murder suicide...

Truly a tragic story...

I'll fondly remember Air McNair...he was a very talented quarterback.

Michael, I saw this in the news. Possible murder suicide is what I heard. It's a real shame and a tragedy for the family and the area.

I was shocked when I heard it in the news. Still haven't heard of any suspects. So tragic for his wife and children. I'll go read your link as I'm sure it will have more information than the national news is giving it.

UPDATE - Apparently, Steve had been dating this girl (20 years old) for several months. Although the Police are not labeling this as a murder/suicide, the fact that she was found dead with the pistol beside her and she had but one bullet wound, makes this most likely the case.

I really feel badly for Steve's wife and children... Such a tragedy...

Michael, Steve was a hometown hero, he did a lot of great things for his community, wht a tragic, senseless loss.
