I've always been fascinated by wildlife, but particularly cats and dogs since they can easily be kept inside and don't mind waiting to welcome you home after a long day at work.
All you have to do is feed them and love them, and in return they'll provide you with unconditional love.
All day yesterday on Animal Planet were a series of one-hour programs titled "Dogs 101."
Right now, while waiting for the Wimbledon Men's final to start between Roger Federer and Andy Roddick, I'm watching some of the reruns.
Probably the most interesting Dogs 101 episode was "All the President's Dogs."
Most of the episode sections are available at the Animal Planet Dogs 101 web site, as well as future schedules. Check it out if you love our fine, furry friends.

This week's blog posts
WWW (Wordless Wednesday with Words): Are you watching me? - 7/1/09
Hmmm...maybe we need to start a new episode: All the Presdients' Cats...our felines should get equal time don't you think...my sister in San Diego has taken in a sort of stray...it's her Cat's Mom....sort of a slut she says....Sara Lee is expecting a litter any day ....does Zoe want a brother or sister ?
Russel, I saw one of the episodes last night...it was about Visla's which is a breed of dog I used to have so it was great fun learning more about them!
I love shows about dogs and I always watch the Westminster Dog Show. My dogs are standard schnauzers, but there is something good in every dog. I knew most presidents seem to have dogs, but I figured it was a guy thing.
Thanks for the information.....I missed it! Hopefully, I will catch the repeat episodes. Thanks for sharing! Enjoy the remainder of the holiday weekend!
Hey, Sally and David - Felines are vastly underrepresented in the White House. I already wrote President Obama, though. He chose to ignore me, one of his constituents! LOL
Hey, Gary - Greatest tennis match I've ever watched, but the wrong person won.
Hey, Terry - There are other qualifications, like wanting to be in the spotlight. Not for me. LOL
Hey, Al and Peggy - I didn't get to enjoy my Fourth like I normally do. I'll tell you why in an upcoming blog.
Hey, Diane - I was most intrigued by the Sharpei section. I've always loved dogs that had a lot of extra skin that I could pull and tug on.
Hey, Betina - I think it was a guy thing in the very olden days since some Presidents also had horses, cows, pigs, raccoons, etc. I know Clinton had Socks, but that's the only cat I can remember being in the White House.
Hey, Rita - I'm going to try to watch some of the episodes again also.
