If you leave a comment, Russel will visit your blog and comment.Along with pictures of birds in flight, I've always loved pictures of animals in the midst of a yawn or a roar.

I like that little/big pink tongue -- unless you have a Chow Chow, and then it will be purple. I'll even take them eating or cleaning themselves just to see that little/big pink tongue in action.

With my new Canon Rebel XSi, I'm now able to sit patiently with my finger on the shutter button and wait for birds to fly or animals to roar.

Here are a few of my recent ones of Zoey the Cool Cat, whom everyone knows is a favorite of mine.

Watch me roar!

Where is Zoey's Fourth of July attire? scarf?  Is she not celebrating?

Hi Russel ~ I like to call Champ a lion when he yawns roars - I figure it is good for his ego - and since his previous owner took off his front claws he needs the ego boost.

Hey Russel,

My son's cat (which I plan to kidnap when he goes back to college) is all entertainment. Occasionally she will yawn in mid meow or vice versa...she is hilarious.

Hey, Candice - Zoey the Cool Cat gets lots of treats. No worry about that.

Hey, Lyn - Zoey the Cool Cat wasn't too happy about all the booms and bangs last night. I live within earshot of five of the big fireworks displays. I had to take her into the bathroom, turn the exhaust fan and water on to mask the sound of the fireworks.

Hey, Elizabeth - When I was looking for a cat at the animal shelter, one of my requirements was that she had to have all her claws.

Hey, Bill - Kidnapping, of course, is against the law, so I shall have to turn you in.

Hi Russel,

What great shots you captured of Zoey yawning!  How cute!  Thanks for sharing!  Have a fabulous week!

OK, OK, I have to get that Canon... just haven't had the extra income :0  Somehow my cell phone camera doesn't have the same shutter speed (gee, why not?) :0  Great shots of Zoey the Cool Cat!

Hi Russel: The first two shots were exceptionally sharp for action shots - the third was a little fuzzy.  How is that camera in general for action shots?
