The Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) needs changing…..says Governor Gregoire. Gregoire created the Climate Advisory Team (CAT) in February of 2007 and they went on to create a report in 2008 recommending to “revise the Washington State Energy Code to achieve a 30 percent reduction in new building energy use”. Kevin, I have clients who want to buy green until they see the price. When the energy savings won't pay for the added cost of green for over 10 to 15 years clients quickly lose interest. The Governor will only add to the price and thus screwing the Green Initiative...

Paul-I think your right.  The code changes seem a little too much for our already stretched builders.  I'm all for the "green" initiative but I don't think it will be pretty to try and slam everything down at once.
