It was quite a headline type news weekend in the Metro Detroit area, and one  would think with all of the economic problems that my hometown area is facing that I would be a bit more concerned this morning with hard core issues facing people in my area.

My priorities are screwed up today.  (I'm human, I'm sure you've all experienced this also at one time or another.)

Instead of delving deeper into the bad asset sale of GM and the bankruptcy courts approval of those assets, or worrying about the police chief of Detroit being fired without a reason for his sacking being disclosed I am more upset and dumbfounded by this:

Brandon Inge didn't make the All Star team.

It's a travesty.  An injustice.  An outrage! This man is a human highlight film at third base.

We can make this right.

There are 5 ball players that are on the final ballot.  If you go to MLB.com you can vote for Brandon to make the trip to St. Louis.  I've already voted, many many times.  (Yes, you can vote more than once!)

Hopefully since I've gotten this out of my system, for this morning at least, I'll be able to get back to work on concentrate on other things except the injustice of the All Star voting system!

Congratulations to Justin Verlander, Edwin Jackson and Curtis Granderson who have been chosen to represent the Detroit Tigers at  this great American classic!

I will go over and vote for Brandon as well. He is awesome at 3RD. My son loves him and strives to play like him. OK now my priorities are shot for a while.

How about those Tigers? I can't believe they are in first place. Add this to your list of priorities - LOL...

Laura, thank you! You're son picked a great ballplayer to look up to!

Michael, I'm surprised myself as they just haven't clicked on all cylinders yet.  *When* they do watch out Central!

I'm just glad I'm not a bondholder of GM.  I would be so bummed at getting so little money.  For so many years it was so solid.

Kris, this is horrible, I will go vote for My Tiger. What were they thinking, of course Brandon should be on the list.

Billie:  They wouldn't dare!  I've contributed more $$ to MLB over the past 40 years than I care to count :-)

Missy:   I don't think it was ever "one vote one person" but my memory isn't what it used to be :-)  The only trouble I have is deciphering the validation phrase so many times! LOL.

Been voting for him for the last 2 days! Brandon is our favorite player! What a terrific season he's having, he certainly deserves to go to the all star game.

Mike,  I had a feeling you would be helping the "Get Brandon to St. Louis" voting!
