Geneva- Great Lakes Medieval Faire!

Why not take a day and go back in time?  Well... maybe not literally but pretty close to it at the Great Lakes Medieval Faire.  The Faire begins on July 11 and will run trhough August 16, 2009 on Saturdays and Sundays.

On July 11-12- Fairy Tales and Fantasy from Princesses and Fairies to Knights and Dragons!  Or how about Joining His Majesty for a weeknd of chivalry and Celebration.   Stop by a see the Knights Joust.  It's a really neat thing to watch.  

On July 25- 36  Join the Faire for a Pirate Invasion. There will be Patches, Peglegs, Buccaneer.  Sounds like a lot of fun!   Or maybe the Celtic Celebration is more your speed?  With the Highland Games, bagpipes and drums.  Make sure you bring your Kilt!

On August 8-9 Stop by for Ancient Disvoeries.  You can Feast and "Drynk" like a Greek God or Roman. Remember to wear your toga!  AND don't forget the Big Barbarian Blast!  With vikings, warlords and various other tough guys.

This event boasts  14 shaded stages for your continuous entertainment.  Family fun at Pirate's Cove and Fairy Forest. 

And don't worry about becoming hungry!  They have HUGE Delicious Roasted turkey Legs, Royal Pastries and lots more.

The Vendors will Amuse and Entertain you too.

There will be many shoppes there for you to purchase treasures and momentos will at the Faire.

Try your hand at the games of skill such as Archery, Axe Throw and many other challenging events.

Jackie,   I went there Yesterday.   Despite the rain most of the day, it was a great supprise.   I will plan on going next year, hopefully picking a day with no rain.
