GlenFor all of you read my post about my sick puppy Glen who had eyes swollen shut two weeks ago *and let me tell taking a 115 pound doggie who can't see for a walk is quite the chore!* Glen is doing much better.  He's off the meds with the exception of benadryl twice a day until the redness goes away and he stops pawing at his eyes.  Don't know what our pup may have had an allergic reaction to, but we are being very careful with him.  He's on the mend and both eyes are open now.

Much thanks to Lakeside Veterinary Clinicwho were there for us.  If you need a great vet in the Lake Sinclair area.... I suggest you take your pet to them.  They are located in Milledgeville (Baldwin County) right on 441 near the lake.  478-452-7422

Yes, and since he's been sick he just wanted to sit in our lap.  Hard to breath, but we let him.

Glad, Glen is getting better, poor baby!  I bet he did not enjoy his walks as much as he usually does...

Hi Tammy,

I am glad that Glen is getting better!  Too bad you were not able to find out what caused the allergic reaction.  Hope he is 100% better soon!  Thank you for the update!

It is so sad when a pet is sick or has a problem they cannot tell you about.  I am so glad he is ok now.  This is a hard time of year for pets with allergies.  Our veterinary medicine has come a long way.

Thanks everyone for caring about Glen.  I was a confirmed life long "cat" person until last March when Donald brought home Glen.  And Rita the vet still thinks he was stung by a bee, we are now going to keep benadryl with us all the time.

Tammy - So glad to hear you're baby boy is getting better.  It breaks my heart to see our "fur" babies in distress.  He definitely looks better.  :)

They are still pretty red, he pawed at them so much this past 2 weeks.  Looks like he rubbed some of the fur off.  Hopefully he will be back to normal soon.  He wants to go swimming and we have not let him as long as he is on the meds.

So glad Glen is getting better, but out here he would be classified as a "big dog," rather than a "puppy." LOL

Jim he is just a big oversized baby lap dog.  And when I say... come here mama's puppy * in my best baby talk, he always comes.

Hi Tammy, I saw your smiling face on another thread and it reminded to check up on Glen. Glad to read he's doing much better. He sure looks better!

LOL@ trying to take your 115 pound doggie who can't see for a walk is quite the chore! I bet it was.

Thanks for checking in.  He certainly has gotten used to being spoiled.  He now thinks it's perfectly okay to get on the furniture and sit in our lap.  And he actually used his nose and followed along behind the other dog much better than I would have expected.  But I'm sure we looked quite funny going down the road.  We also shortened his walks until he was on the mend.
