That is my car, parked in front of the subject property to get a little perspective on where the house is in relation to the scenery.

Would you like to see this in your rearview mirror every time you leave your home?

How about every time you come home, you get to see it until you pull inside the garage?

Or every time you step out your front door?

Your friends get to see it every time they visit?

What was the builder thinking????

Why doesn't the brick wall continue across?  Not that would help much.

Also, don't you love it when the picture on the mls only shows the house. Then you waste your time driving to the home only to see the "view".

I'm not sure I have the power to pick which house my buyer purchases.  After all, I'M not the one paying for it.

But YIKES! You would think that anyone with sense would walk from this one.....obviously someone didn't.

**Sigh**

LOL  Oh yeah, I love when the picture only show's the best angles of the home and leaves out the IMPORTANT facts...LOL

Who am I to "let the buyer" do anything?

Why would I be letting a buyer buy a house?  I am not party to a contract

6:54pm • #6

Of course i would "let' my buyer buy this home. The better question  would have been would you show this home to your buyer?  If the home met my clients wants and needs of course I would.

Just as there is a woman for every man or visa versa... there is a buyer for every home.

7:44pm • #9

WOW- nice!!

Any key words in the MlS for this gem? Like great neighborhood?

7:54pm • #10

That's a real beauty. Well there is always a buyer for every house.

Had to laugh at this one. Of course this probably wasn't included in MLS photos...I would fire my agent if they put a photo of this wall in my mls photos. Doesn't matter what I think. I present the pros and cons (we know which weighs more heavily here) and let them make their own decisions.

All,

I have to run out the door to meet a friend and head off to church...

But, FYI, my buyer is in another state, is a first time investor, from another country and is trusting me to help them do it right.

AND, I'm kind of protective of the people who have entrusted me with the responsibility of helping them choose the right house to buy.

Oh, there are no photos in the MLS and there was nothing in the remarks and...  that's another whole post.

I always wonder who purchases a property like this. I guess if the price is low enough, someone will find it appealing. Thanks for the post.

Doreen - That looks like it's going to be a hard home to sell. If the price is right someone will buy it.

Michelle,  I don't know why the fence isn't complete, my guess is right of way issues.

Team Knowles,  Ha! this didn't have a photo at all!  The broker/agent sent me photos from when it was new, not as it is now.

Coleen,  I don't have the power to pick the home for a buyer either.  But, when I see something that will make it difficult to sell in the future, affect the value in negative way or is just plan bad news, I believe I owe it to them to make sure they are aware of it and that they understand how it could hurt them in the future.

Kathleen,  There's a lot of that around here, when there are photos.

Kenneth and Jeff,  I'll certainly learn to use better wording in the future.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder :)  I am working with an out of state buyer and yesterday went and took some pics of a house he "won" a bid on.  I hated it and called and told him how horrible it is.  I came home comped it and then e-mailed him how much I actually hated it after seeing the numbers.  He e-mailed me back today after seeing the pics and said he thought the house would be horrible after what I had to say about it, he then called me and said he liked it.  So humpt, nobody takes my advice and perhaps I should try to talk people out of buying houses as a general rule :)

If my client insisted on buying the house, I have the documentation I warned them of the problems I could see.  I just want people to go in with their eyes open.  I can't make them do or not do something.  I probably should have titled this something different, or not used the word 'let'.

Here's what we know, if they buy it and hate it, they will blame us no matter what we told them.  At least that's what the people with lots of experience say.

Hi Eric, The house is actually to the right.  The partial car in the one photo is my car in front of the house.  This was what is right there this close to the house.

P.S.  I know you sent me a LI contact, I haven't been in there in a while...

Doreen,

I swear we just serviced a house like this in Surprise - the new homeowner kept telling us what a deal he got (it was a foreclosure, I think).  Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder!

Doreen,

There's a house in Tucson that's similar to this one.  It's all corrugated steel, only it's painted pink.  Five foot high letters on the front of the home spell TIN.

I know times are hard for a lot of folks, but you know times are rough when even the Monolopy Bank is cutting their 'pass go' payout by 50%.  haha

I wonder plenty of times what builders are thinking .... this, of course, is one of those times ... and other times I wonder what they were sniffing, when they place a bathroom in the kitchen or the dining room.
