I think buyers and sellers are looking for honesty in their real estate agent.
The truth is that 10% of the agents do 90% of the business and at the top are those that are likely to be honest and trustworthy.
Have you every been "interviewed-I mean really interviewed by a buyer or seller?" curious?
The fact that most people want someone they can trust doesn't surprise me or you I'm sure. They want someone who is experienced at their profession and ethical.
Being reachable at all time (most times withing reason) is yet another important prerquisite. It's always good to be able to pick up the phone, and or email your agent with questions or concerns.
Being prompt with feedback is key. Sellers and buyers want to know how the process is moving along. They feel they should be told things on a routine basis about how the buyers liked their home. In the case of the buyers, they want to know how the negotiations are being dealt with.
