This summer, Riverside's University Village is hosting a Summer Concert Series every Wednesday evening from 7-9pm beginning July 15th and continuing through August 19th. The best part is that it is absolutely FREE to the public. University Village is the same place I blogged about playing free Bingo earlier this summer. There will be all kinds of music on display each week: acoustic classic rock, jazz, 80's & 90's rock, reggae, R&B and classic rock. Like with the Free Bingo, the fabulous businesses at University Village are sponsoring this great event: Rubio's, Quiznos, T-Mobile, GameStop, Starbucks, Juice It Up, Fatburger, Service Plus Credit Union, Ultra Star Movie Theater, The Mad Platter and The Pita Pit. Stop by any of these establishments to express your appreciation for their sponsorship and enjoy some great FREE music this summer. I hope I see you there!

I could go to any of them. I'm not prejudiced like Matt Listro apparently is -- LOL.

I'm finding a lot of free stuff down here, too. I wonder if the publicity on free events is simply better in light of the economy, or if there are more free events for some strange reason.

I would think so, Matt. Connecticut is about as far from Reggae I think that you could get. Unless you live in the deep south, I guess. :)

That's a good question, Russel. I never thought of that. I noticed much more freebies going on, too. But, this isn't the first year for many of the free community things I have seen. So, maybe there is more publicity on the free stuff BECAUSE of the economy. Thanks for stopping by. :)

It does sound like fun, Sandy. I won't be able to make all of them, but I'm gonna try to go to as many as I can. At least it's later in the evening. We'll be hitting triple digits today and often throughout the summer. This will be outside. So....
