As a Lake Kiowa resident I want to share this exciting lake community.  Lake Kiowa is a gated residential community just south of the Oklahoma border and the Red River, nine miles east of Gainesville in southeastern Cook County, Texas. There are approximately 1,700 acres of land surrounding a tree shaded 583-acre man-made lake and a PGA rated 18-hole golf course. There are more than twenty-one miles of hard surfaced roads; all utilities are underground; cable TV and high speed Internet are available in this community that comprises the third largest community in Cooke County. Lake Kiowa is a serene, beautiful, fun, friendly, exciting, and safe community.

Lake Kiowa is an unincorporated community. Each property owner is a member of the Lake Kiowa Property Owners Association. Lake Kiowa is governed by an elected nine-member Board of Directors. A Community Manager, under the direction of the Board, carries out day-to-day operations, such as the golf course, lake and street maintenance, 24-hour security gate and patrol system.
